Our Beginnings
Testimony of Christ International was founded by Bishop Ketsibile Setoboli in Harare following a clear revelation that God gave him on the 1st of January 2006, concerning the rise of a new generation move of Jesus Christ. Ground work immediately began and the first Sunday service was held on 29 January 2006 at the Setoboli residence in Borrowdale, with over 60 people attending.
From those humble beginnings, TCI has grown into a vibrant community of believers with congregations across Zimbabwe and beyond. In God we trusted then, in Him we trust now, and in Him we will always trust.

Our Principles
These ten principles shape our lives and ministry. They are the foundation on which Testimony of Christ International is built.

The Foundation of Ministry Is Character
Character and not charisma is the basis of all ministry. It is not gifted men God is looking for, but men of character.

The Nature of Ministry Is Service
Christ climbed down the ladder. We are called to walk in His footsteps as servants, to wash one anotheru2019s feet.

The Motive of Ministry Is Love
Love begot us, and love must motivate us. To lead through love means transparent, vulnerable, and accountable leadership.

The Measure of Ministry Is Sacrifice
The worth of anything is measured by what we are willing to give up. The call to discipleship is a call to die to self.

The Authority of Ministry Is Submission
Jesus demonstrated that His authority came from His submission to the Father. Walking in submission is a core value in TCI.

The Purpose of Ministry Is the Glory of God
God firmly resists any ministry whose purpose is anything but His glory. We are determined to walk humbly before Him.

The Tools of Ministry Are the Word and Prayer
We seek sermons born out of sincere study of the Word, washed with tears. Only the Word and strong prayers will change hearts.

The Privilege of Ministry Is Growth
We are not called to fill buildings with men but to fill men with God. When men are full of God, growth is inevitable.

The Power of Ministry Is the Holy Spirit
If Jesus needed the Holy Spirit before His ministry, how presumptuous of us to think we can go anywhere without Him.

The Model of Ministry Is Jesus
We would not wish to win people to us but to Christ. Our job is not done until Christ be formed in you.

Our Footprint
From a single gathering of just over sixty people in Borrowdale, Harare, TCI has grown into an international ministry with congregations and affiliate churches across twenty nations. Each local congregation is self-sustaining and self-propagating, yet interdependent with the wider body for vision, mission, values and direction.

How We Are Governed
Our Constitution
Our constitution puts structure to the ministry and guides its affairs. It flows directly from our principles of ministry — without an appreciation of those principles, it is possible to miss the thread that holds things together in TCI. Members, whether born in the house or adopted, are those willing and able to abide by it. As the ministry grows and seasons change, the constitution is reviewed.
Governance & Structure
The Founder and Bishop, the Board of TCI, the Pastoral Council and the Local Councils — how each is appointed, and how each is held accountable.
Membership
Personal faith in Christ, agreement with our Statement of Faith, financial support through tithes and offerings, and participation in the life of the church.
Finances
Total transparency and accountability. All funds are receipted, banked, and used for the purpose for which they were raised, with books open to members.
Property
All property, movable and immovable, is held and administered solely for the furtherance of the aims and objectives of the ministry.
Discipline & Disputes
A clear path of resolution beginning with the local pastor, and biblical discipline applied without fear or favour, always aimed at restoration.
The Annual General Meeting
The widest consultative forum, where the Board gives account, and congregations contribute to the vision and running of TCI.
What We Believe
Statement of Faith
- We believe the Scriptures are divinely inspired, infallible, and inerrant, the final authority in all matters of faith and conduct.
- We believe in the Trinity: God the Father, God the Son, and God the Holy Spirit, three persons, one indivisible God.
- We believe Jesus Christ is the Son of God, conceived of the Holy Spirit and born of a virgin.
- We believe Jesus died for our sins, was buried, and on the third day rose from the dead.
- We believe in the baptism of the Holy Spirit with the evidence of speaking in tongues.
- We believe the gifts of the Spirit operate today as in the early church.
- We believe God created the world as recorded in Genesis, and that mankind, through sin, is in need of redemption.
- We believe in salvation by grace through faith, expressed through repentance, water baptism by immersion, and being filled with the Holy Spirit.
- We believe in the table of the Lord as an ordinance for all believers.
- We believe in eternal life for believers and eternal punishment for unbelievers.
- We believe in one true church, the Body of Christ comprised of genuine believers from every race, tribe, language, and denomination.
